Mauritania Takes Part in Arab Water Conference in Riyadh

On 22 November, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ismail Ould Abdel Fattah, the Minister of Water and Sanitation, participated in the opening of the fifth session of the Arab Water Conference.

The opening session of the conference was marked by presentations on the problem of sustainability of water resources in arid zones, modern methods of financing hydraulic projects, the role of international organizations in facing the challenges of water sectors in the Arab world, and integrated water resources management.

At the end of the opening session, the Minister and his Arab counterparts visited the exhibition organized on the sidelines of the conference, where they listened to explanations of new technologies used in the fields of desalination and distribution of water.
