Rome: Mauritania Participates in FAO Meetings

On 22 October, Ms. Fatimettou Mint Khattry, the Commissioner for Food Security, left Nouakchott for Rome to represent Mauritania at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) meeting.

During this session, the FAO Committee on Food Security will discuss several topics, including the global food crisis, the effects of wars and climate change, women’s empowerment, and the role of data collection and use in strategic food security policies.
