On 21 October, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Moma Beybat Hamahoulah, returned to Nouakchott from the State of the United Arab Emirates after participating in the work of the eighth Global Investment Promotion Conference held in Abu Dhabi from 16 to 20 October. During this conference, the Minister chaired a high-level meeting organized by the FAO, which focused on all subjects relating to investment in agri-food systems.
He also attended, along with our Ambassador to the State of the United Arab Emirates, the meeting chaired by our Minister of Trade, Industry, and Tourism organized by the Mauritanian Investment Promotion Agency.
The meeting reviewed investment opportunities in Mauritania and the efforts made by the country’s high authorities to improve the general investment climate, the promising projects currently being prepared or implemented, and the various incentives granted to investors.
On the sidelines of this meeting, Mr. Hamahoulah had talks with some development partners and investors interested in the agricultural sector.
