The Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relation with Civil Society, Mr. Hacenna Ould Boukhreiss, supervised Wednesday the launch of a consultation workshop on the implementation of the new law that regulates the works of associations and networks in Mauritania.
This meeting, which is organized by the Commission for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relations with Civil Society, aims to informing the security and administrative authorities in the regions of Nouakchott about the contents of this law.
In a speech on the occasion, the Commissioner for Human Rights, Humanitarian Action, and Relation with Civil Society said that the vital roles played by the Civil society organizations in our country led to boosting development and enabling social institutions to improve the economic conditions of the population.
He pointed out that the new law was designed to professionalize the associative fabric and enhancing its role in advancing development and establishing the rule of law.
