Minister of Agriculture Receives World Bank Resident Representative

On 26 July, in Nouakchott, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Momme Beibatt, received HE Ms. Cristina Santos, the Resident Representative of the World Bank to Mauritania.

The meeting focused on cooperation between the two sides and ways to strengthen it, especially in the agricultural development field.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the agricultural projects implemented within the framework of the partnership between Mauritania and the World Bank and the conditions of their management in the service of the population in rural areas.

For her part, Ms. Santos affirmed her institution’s readiness to continue supporting the Mauritanian agricultural sector.
