President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott

On 22  May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, returned to Nouakchott from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after taking part in the 32nd ordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States held on 19 May in Jeddah.

The President of the Republic was welcomed at Nouakchott “Oumtounsy” International Airport by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the two Ministers Counselors at the Presidency of the Republic, members of the government, the Wali of Western Nouakchott, and the Vice President of the Nouakchott Region.

Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani was accompanied by a large delegation including:

– Ms. Mariem Mint Dah, the First Lady;

– Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad;

– Mr. Isselmou Ould Mohamed M’Badi, the Minister of Finance;

– Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, the Director of Cabinet of the President of the Republic;

– HE Sidi Ali Sidi Ali, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;

– HE Mr. Sidi Mohamed Abdellah, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the League of Arab States;

– Mr. Ahmed Ould Bah, a.k.a. H’Meida, an adviser at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould Sid Jaavar, an adviser at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Saleh Ould Dehmach, an adviser at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. El Hassen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
