Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives EU Special Envoy for Sahel Region

On 10 May, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received HE Ms. Emanuela Claudia Del Re, the EU Special Envoy forthe Sahel region, accompanied by AmbassadorGwilym Jones, the Head of the EU Delegation in Mauritania.

The meeting focused on the fruitful cooperation relations between Mauritania and the European Union, ways to strengthen and develop them, and issues of common interest, particularly the security and economic conditions in the G-5 Sahel countries.
