On 9 May, in Washington, Mr. Ahmed Salem Ould Bouhoubeyni, the President of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), met with senior leaders of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The latter is an independent US aid agency that supports the fight against global poverty.
During this meeting, the CNDH President reviewed the human rights situation in Mauritania, which falls within the scope of the MCC’s concerns, which started cooperating with our country after the recent visit of the President of the Republic to the United States.
