Committee in charge of Following up the “Mauritanian” expresses Satisfaction about Movie’s Success

Following instructions from the Minister of Culture, Handicrafts, and relations with Parliament, Mr. Lemrabott Ould Bennahi, the sector committe in charge of the following up of works of the “Mauritanian” movie has resumed its activities.

In the meeting, the committee expressed its satisfaction about the outstanding success of the movie globally, praising the great attention that the president of the republic attaches to this artistic work manifested in president’s congratulation to Mohamedou Ould Silahi, of whom the movie is telling his story of suffering.
The committee is preparing a work plan to accompany the next phase of this movie.

It is to be noted that the Mauritanian government has accompanied this movie from the very beginning, particularly in the stages of filming in our country, through establishing committees of supervision that encompass the sectors of culture, defense, finance, equipment, transportation, trade, industry, and tourism.
