On 13 March, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, decorated with the Medal of National Recognition the three martyrs of the Nation who recently fell on the field of defenseof the security and stability of the homeland for the sacrifice made in the service of the Nation.

This concerns:

– Brigadier Sellahi Bah Ebel, the medal was delivered to his cousin Wedena Haidde Ebel;

– 2nd level Gendarme Moustapha El Khadir Oubeid, the medal was delivered to his brother Mohamed El Khadir Oubeid;

– Brigadier Sidi Mohamed N’Teh, the medal was delivered to his father Sid’Ahmed Ould Abdellahi Ould N’Teh.

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, gave his instructions to promote, exceptionally, the martyrs of the Nation to higher ranks.

At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency met the representatives of the families of the martyrs and offered them his condolences.

Previously, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, accompanied by the Minister of National Defense and the Commander of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, reviewed units of the various military and security formations, before shaking hands with senior military and security officials, representatives of political groups, imams, and representatives of civil society.
