Foreign Affairs Minister Receives Large Delegation of Ambassadors

On 23 Februry, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, received HE. Jones Guilym, the Head of the EU Mission, HE Ms. Cynthia Kirsch, the US Ambassador, HE Mr. Alexandre Garcia, the Ambassador of the French Republic, HE Mr. Colin Wills, the Ambassador of the UK, HE Ms. Maria Alvarez Dalaroza, the Ambassador of Spain, HE Mr. Ushida Tatsukuni, the Ambassador of Japan, and Ante Guline Schols, the Charge d’Affaires at the Embassy of Germany.

The meeting was an opportunity for the heads of the chancelleries to appreciate the essential role of Mauritania in the Sahel, affirming their support for the efforts undertaken while the country is presiding over the G-5 Sahel to face security dangers and development challenges in this area.
