President of Republic Attends Sahel Climate Commission’s Second Meeting

On 17 February, in Addis Ababa, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, attended the second meeting of heads of state and government members of the Climate Commission for the Sahel, held on the sidelines of the 36th African Summit, which will begin tomorrow, 18 February.

The meeting reviewed the climate challenges posed. It insisted on mobilizing all available efforts and capacities to deal with climate change and its multifaceted negative effects.

A number of heads of state and government, experts, and people interested in climate issues in the Sahel region participated in the meeting.
