President of Republic Inaugurates Project To Electrify Nine Villages in Moughataa of Boghe

On 30 December, in Boghe, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, oversaw the inauguration of the project to electrify nine villages in this constituency.

This project aims to enable 5,000 families to electricity services in the villages of Mouftah El Kheir, Dar El Avia, Dar Salama, Avdeydir, Hamdelaye, Hourimoundia, Abayr, Douboghe, and Mboudieri.

It will also contribute to improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of these rural localities, creating job opportunities, stimulating income-generating activities, and stabilizing the inhabitants in their places of origin.

As part of this project, 9 category (61H) electrical transformers were installed, with a unit voltage of 160 kilovolt-amperes, an 8 km long line from the networks

medium voltage overhead lines with a capacity of 33 kilovolts, a 400 volt low voltage overhead power line over a distance of 30 km, the installation and connection of 9 electrical control boxes and 200 public lighting.

The overall cost of this project, whose work should be completed in 12 months, amounts to 37,321,421 new ouguiyas.
