On 30 December, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, supervised, in Boghe, wilaya of Brakna, the inauguration of the drinking water supply system for the city of Boghe by treating river water.
Exclusively financed by the Mauritanian State to the tune of MRO 200 million, the project aims to strengthen water production in the city of Boghe by building an integrated river water treatment and purification plant,
a 250 KV power line, and two pumping stations SP1 and SP2 with a combined flow of 280 cubic meters per hour.
It also includes a water treatment plant with a flow rate of 210 cubic meters per hour, two reservoirs with a capacity of 500 cubic meters each, and a pipeline 4 km long and with a diameter of 400 mm.
