Economic Affairs Minister Meets With UN Delegation

On 29 November, in Nouakchott, Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors met with a high-level joint delegation led by the Commissioner for Refugees, the Director of Displacement Policies, migration, crisis prevention, and management at the German Ministry of the Economy, together with HE. Isabel Henin, the German Ambassador to Mauritania, and the WFP, UNHCR, GIZ, and UNICEF representatives.
The meeting focused on the aspects of cooperation relating to the file of refugees in Mauritania. It was an opportunity for the Minister to praise the aid provided by these institutions, reiterating Mauritania’s commitment toward this file and calling on the partners to redouble efforts to help the refugees.
