The work of the 18th Francophonie Conference started on 19 November in the Tunisian city of Djerba, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic.
This session, attended by 31 Heads of State and Government, and dozens of delegations from different countries, is held under the theme: “Communication in the context of diversity: digital as a tributary of development and solidarity in the French-speaking world.” The strengthening of economic cooperation between the countries of the Francophone Organization is one of the most important points on the agenda of this summit.
His Excellency Mr. Kaïs Saïed, the President of the Republic of Tunisia, and Ms. Louise Mushikiwabo, the Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, received His Excellency the President of the Republic upon his arrival at the conference venue.
