Minister of Culture Receives UNDP Resident Representative

On 31 October, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, received Mr. Mansour Enjari, the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to Mauritania.
The meeting, which covered all areas of cooperation in the sectors of culture, youth, sports, and the media, was an opportunity for the Minister to review the vision of His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, and his social project. Under this project, the sectors of culture, youth, sports, and the media are of capital importance as they contribute to changing mentalities and forming a man in harmony with their time and equipped to meet its challenges.
Ould Soueidatt discussed with the UN diplomat the programs and activities that the Department of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament implement, such as the regional weeks of culture, youth, and school sports, national strategies in the areas of youth, information, communication, and cultural work.
In turn, Mr. Enjari thanked the Minister for clearly presenting his department, emphasizing UNDP’s full availability to keep pace with the policies and programs of the Mauritanian government in various sectors, particularly in those of culture, youth, sports, and the media.
