On 23 October, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania denounced and strongly condemned the attack by the Houthi militia against an oil tanker that was about to dock at the oil port of Dabba in the Yemeni governorate of Hadhramaut.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mauritania expressed its full support for the legitimate government of Yemen in the face of the terrorist threats to which it is confronted.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad expresses its firm condemnation and denunciation of the attack carried out by the Houthi militia, on Friday 21 October against an oil tanker which was preparing to dock at the oil port of Dabba in the Yemeni governorate of Hadhramaut.
Mauritania stresses that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia is a flagrant violation of international laws and Security Council resolution 2216 and constitutes a serious threat to energy supplies and global trade corridors.
On this occasion, Mauritania expresses its full support for the legitimate Yemeni government in the face of all the terrorist threats it faces”.
