Mauritania Supports Saudi Arabia’s Decision in Face of Oil Price Fluctuations

On 18 October, Mauritania affirmed its unconditional support for the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its decision to reduce production to protect the world economy in the face of fluctuations in oil prices and underlined the relevance of the details and clarifications that the Kingdom has provided in this regard.
This came in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, which reads as follows:
“OPEC Plus recently unanimously passed the decision to cut production to protect the global economy from fluctuating oil prices.
Following this decision, a series of statements were issued against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In this context, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania affirms its unconditional support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s decision and the relevance of its clarifications on this issue and its refusal to submit to external diktats. Mauritania is also eager, in the same context, to reiterate its absolute rejection of anything that threatens or compromises the security or sovereignty of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
