Washington: High-Level Mauritanian Delegation Meets With IMF Mission

On 11 October, in Washington, the Mauritanian delegation to the meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), held a working session with the IMF’s mission in charge of operations in Mauritania.
Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors, Mr. Isselmou Ould Sidi M’badi, the Minister of Finance, and Mr. Mohamed Lamine Ould Dhahbi, the Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania attended the meeting during which the two delegations reviewed the partnership relations between Mauritania and the IMF, particularly the programs financed by this financial institution.
The talks also touched on the economic and financial reforms, the monetary policy undertaken by our country in recent years, the macro-economic situation, debt sustainability, and the IMF program in Mauritania, due to start next year.
