On 4 October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad congratulated our compatriot Kane Ibrahima for his choice to represent Mauritania on the board of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in a press release sent to the Mauritanian news agency.
It also appreciated the efforts made by government departments to obtain this important international position.
The press release indicates that obtaining this international post materializes the vision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, aimed at strengthening the presence of national skills on the international scene.

“Mauritania was elected as a member of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), during the 41st session of the Organization’s General Assembly, held from 26 September to 7 October in Montreal, Canada.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad congratulates our compatriot Kane Ibrahima, chosen for this position, and well-known for his high ethical and professional qualifications.
It also commends the remarkable efforts made by the concerned government departments, each according to its area of competence, so that Mauritania acquires this important international position, thus concretizing the vision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, aimed at strengthening the presence of national skills on the international scene.
Also, the ministry congratulates our national diplomatic staff, both at the central level and at the level of the diplomatic missions, for accompanying this candidacy and mobilizing the necessary support on the bilateral and multilateral levels”.
