Signing of Financing Agreement to Support Regional Development of Hodh Ech Chargui

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors, Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, and the Director of the French Development Agency (AFD), Mrs. Benedicte Brusset, signed Tuesday a financing agreement related to a pilot project to support the regional development of Amourj, Bougadoum, and Adel Bagrou in the Region of Hodh Ech Chargui.

This €1 million financing agreement aims to find solutions to the region’s fragility and contribute to conflict prevention and citizen participation by strengthening local public administrations and supporting economic development in the region.

Food self-sufficiency is not a mere strategic choice but a necessity and an issue of sovereignty and the basis of resilience in the faces of crises.
