President of Republic Visits the Great Mosque of Algiers

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, visited Wednesday the Great Mosque of Algiers, located in the Mohammedia municipality in the Algerian Capital, Algiers.

The President of the Republic toured the mosque’s various wings and received explanations about the techniques adopted in its construction and the scientific and cultural facilities it houses.

It is the biggest mosque in Algeria and the third-largest mosque in the world after the Great Mosque of Mecca and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi of Medina in Saudi Arabia.
