Agriculture Minister meets Turkish counterparts

The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Sidina Ould Sidi Mohamed Ould Ahmed Ely, held a meeting with The Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mr. Bekir Pakdemirli, on Tuesday afternoon on the sidelines of the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Food Security and Agricultural Development held in Istanbul between October 25th and 27th.

The two sides discussed opportunities and prospects for agricultural cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The two sides stressed their readiness to work to strengthen cooperation in agriculture and food security, and agreed to form technical committees to identify and reflect areas of cooperation on the ground, particularly in the areas of agricultural production, food technology, agricultural mechanization and the transfer of expertise.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Sidahmed Al-Bekai Ould Hammadi, Our Country’s Ambassador to Turkey, and Adam Bary, Technical Advisor in charge of agricultural people and plant protection.
