Chinguetti Residents Give Warm Welcome to President of Republic

The residents of the Chinguetti Department gave a warm popular welcome, on Tuesday evening, to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

Citizens gathered on both sides of the road connecting the airfield to the city center, waving portraits of His Excellency as well as banners expressing their support and backing.

Through slogans and cheers chanted on this occasion, citizens expressed their appreciation for the achievements made for the department over the past few years, particularly in several vital sectors directly linked to the lives and needs of the population.

This welcome comes within the framework of the visit that His Excellency the President of the Republic is paying to the Chinguetti Department, which constitutes an opportunity to inquire about the local development situation and take note of the main issues and concerns expressed by the population.
