President of Republic Sends Condolences to UAE President

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent a message of condolence on Monday to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum—may Allah envelop him in His mercy.

Here is the text of the condolence message:

“Your Highness,

It was with profound sadness and deep grief that I learned of the passing of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum—may Allah grant him His mercy.

On this painful occasion, I extend to Your Highness, as well as to the esteemed Al Maktoum family and the ruling family of the United Arab Emirates, my sincere condolences and deepest sympathies. I pray that Almighty Allah grants everyone patience and solace during this difficult trial.

I also kindly ask Your Highness to convey my sincere condolences, compassion, and solidarity to the members of the deceased’s family during this painful time.

I pray to Allah, the Most High, to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and forgiveness, welcome him into His spacious Paradise, and grant his honorable family patience, comfort, and the strength to endure this loss.

Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.
