Foreign Minister Meets With AWEX Director for Sub-Saharan Africa

On July 14, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug,  Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, met with Mr. Gilles Van den Broeck, Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at the Walloon Export and Investment Agency (AWEX), at the Embassy of Mauritania in Brussels.

The discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between Mauritania and AWEX, as well as opportunities to expand their partnership in investment and economic cooperation. The two sides also reviewed several issues of mutual interest.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to emphasize the importance of strengthening contacts between economic operators and investment institutions, while highlighting the promising opportunities Mauritania offers across several priority sectors. The aim is to encourage greater investment and further strengthen economic ties between the two parties.
