President of the Republic Departs for Qatar to Offer Condolences on Passing of Father Emir

On Monday evening, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, departed Nouakchott for Doha to extend his heartfelt condolences to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of the Father Emir, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Upon his departure from Nouakchott International Airport “Oumtounsy,” the President was seen off by:

  • Prime Minister Moctar Ould Djay
  • The Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency, Mr. Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf.
  • Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdullah bin Boya, Minister-Advisor to the Presidency
  • Aissata Ba Yahya, Minister-Advisor to the Presidency
  • Mohamed Ould Soueidatt, Minister of Justice
  • Hanena Ould Sidi, Minister of Defense, Retirees’ Affairs, and Children of Martyrs;
  • Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemin, Minister of Interior, Decentralization, and Local Development
  • Lieutenant General Mohamed Mokhtar Cheikh Ould Emeni, Chief of the Special Staff to the President
  • Hamoud Ould M’hamed, Governor of West Nouakchott
  • Hawa Sidi Be, Vice President of the Nouakchott Regional Council.
