His Excellency the President of the Republic of Benin, Mr. Romuald Wadagni, left Nouakchott this Monday at the conclusion of a working visit to Mauritania—his first since assuming the presidency of his country.
His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, saw off the Beninese President at the boarding stairs of the aircraft at Nouakchott “Oum Tounsi” International Airport. He was joined by Prime Minister Mr. El Moctar Ould Djay, the Minister in Charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, the Chief of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic, the Governor (Wali) of West Nouakchott, and the President of the Nouakchott Region.
Also present to bid farewell to the Beninese President were the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the two Minister-Counselors to the Presidency of the Republic, as well as the Ministers of Justice; Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad; and Defense, Veteran Affairs and Children of Martyrs.
During this visit, Mr. Romuald Wadagni was accompanied by a high-level delegation, which included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Corinne Amory-Brinett.
