The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has expressed its strong condemnation of the brutal attacks targeting the State of Kuwait, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad on Wednesday evening, a copy of which was received by the Mauritanian News Agency, it affirmed its solidarity with these states in all measures they take to safeguard their security and sovereignty.

The text of the statement is as follows:

“The Islamic Republic of Mauritania condemns in the strongest terms the brutal attacks targeting the State of Kuwait, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of these brotherly states that they represent, as well as the threat to the lives of civilians and the safety of civilian and vital infrastructure therein, in clear contravention of the provisions of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Mauritania reaffirms its full solidarity with the State of Kuwait, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Bahrain in all legitimate measures they take to safeguard their security, sovereignty and the safety of their citizens.”
