Economic Affairs Minister attends Meeting of Joint Steering Committee of African Development Bank

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr Abdullah Suleiman Al-Cheikh Sidiya, took part today, Monday, in the “Presidential Hall” at the Kintili International Conference Centre in Brazzaville, in a meeting of the Joint Steering Committee of the Board of Governors of the African Development Bank, which was held in closed session on the first day of the 2026 Annual Meetings.

The meeting’s agenda focused on drawing up a roadmap for the Governors’ formal deliberations in line with the annual theme: “Mobilising resources on a large scale to finance development in Africa in a fragmented world”, as well as reviewing the Group’s financial reports in preparation for their formal presentation by the Bank’s President.

Several other items were also discussed, which will be submitted to the Board of Governors for consideration.
