On May 22, Mr. Abdallahi Ould Souleymane Cheikh Sidiya, Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, left Nouakchott for the Congolese capital, Brazzaville, to participate in the annual meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, scheduled from May 25 to 29.

This session will focus on three main areas: infrastructure and interconnection to strengthen transport networks between neighboring African markets; accelerating the energy transition and electricity interconnection; and issues of food security and agricultural industrialization, based on investment reports that the bank will launch on this occasion.

The meeting will also feature the publication of the “African Economic Outlook” report and participation in the “First Forum on African Integration”, aimed at supporting the African Continental Free Trade Area.
