Minister of Defence returns to Nouakchott

The Minister of Defence, Retirees’ Affairs and Children of Martyrs, Mr Hanena Ould Sidi, returned to Nouakchott last night from the Kingdom of Morocco, having taken part in the Second Ministerial Conference on Peacekeeping in the Francophone World, which was hosted by the capital Rabat yesterday, Wednesday.

This conference, organised in partnership between the United Nations and the International Organisation of La Francophonie, served to strengthen coordination and unify perspectives among Francophone states regarding current challenges associated with international peacekeeping operations.

The conference was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials, alongside representatives from the United Nations and the International Organisation of La Francophonie, regional organisations, as well as a select group of civilian and military experts specialising in the field of peacekeeping.
