Economic Affairs Minister Returns to Nouakchott

On 9 May, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr Abdullah Suleiman Sheikh Sidiya, returned to Nouakchott, having delivered a written message from His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Mr Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The Minister’s visit to Equatorial Guinea forms part of the diplomatic efforts led by Mauritania to rally the support of member states of the International Organisation of La Francophonie for Dr Koumba Ba’s candidacy for the post of Secretary-General of the Organisation.
