Prime Minister at the Closing Ceremony of “Expo Mauritania 2026”: National Industry is Moving Confidently Toward Strengthening Sovereignty and Creating Added Value

The Prime Minister, Mr. Moktar Ould Djay, presided over the closing ceremony of the third edition of the “Expo Mauritania 2026” exhibition Sunday evening at the Olympic Complex in Nouakchott, organized under the slogan “Made in Mauritania.”

The Prime Minister toured the various exhibition pavilions, where he viewed a variety of products and activities from industrial, commercial, and service companies, which showcased their latest innovations and projects, as well as the investment opportunities they offer. He also signed the exhibition’s guest book.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Prime Minister stated in a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency that the national industrial sector is experiencing rapid growth, and has begun to move forward with confidence, noting that this development did not come out of nowhere, but rather resulted from the tireless work initiated by the government, embodying the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic, which is based on the need to achieve industrial sovereignty and create added value for local resources.

He explained that this vision represents the formula capable of employing youth, generating hard currency, creating added value, and achieving self-sufficiency in times of crisis, thereby granting the country the ability to meet the needs of its citizens without falling into difficult situations like those faced by countries that lack local production capabilities.

He added that the government is working, alongside the national private sector, to realize this vision.
