Mauritania Welcomes Lebanon Ceasefire Announcement

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in the brotherly Republic of Lebanon, considering it a significant step toward de-escalation.

In a statement issued this Friday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mauritania emphasized the necessity of full commitment to this announcement and its reinforcement to help stabilize the calm.

The Republic expressed its appreciation for mediation efforts, voicing hope that this announcement will support endeavors to achieve a just and lasting peace in the region.
