Official Welcome Ceremony for President of Republic at Élysée Palace

An official welcome ceremony was held in honor of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, upon his arrival on Wednesday evening at the Élysée Palace in Paris, as part of his current state visit to France.

The President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, led the dignitaries who came to welcome His Excellency.

The welcoming ceremony began with the playing of the Mauritanian and French national anthems. The President of the Republic then reviewed the honor guard, composed of units from the land and air forces as well as the French National Gendarmerie.
