2026 Spring Meetings: Mauritanian Delegation Meets With World Bank Vice President for West, Central Africa
The Mauritanian delegation participating in the 2026 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund held a working meeting on 13 April with Mr. Ousmane Diagana, the World Bank Vice President for West and Central Africa, on the sidelines of the meetings in Washington, D.C.
The delegation included Mr. Abdallahi Ould Souleymane Ould Cheikh Sidiya, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Mohamed Lemine Ould Dhehbi, the Governor of the Central Bank of Mauritania, and Ms. Cisse Mint Boide, the Mauritanian Ambassador to Washington.
The meeting reviewed the level of cooperation between Mauritania and the World Bank Group, as well as the progress of development programs and projects financed by the institution.
Discussions also focused on prospects for developing the partnership in the coming phase, in line with the country’s development priorities, to accelerate project implementation and mobilize resources to support economic transformation.
This meeting is part of the Mauritanian delegation’s efforts during the Spring Meetings in Washington to strengthen cooperation with financial and technical partners and expand financing and investment opportunities for national development.
