The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoukg, met Monday in Algeria, with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, just before they presided over the work of the Mauritanian-Algerian Follow-up Committee, held in preparation for the twentieth session of the Joint High Committee scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed the cooperation and partnership relations between Mauritania and Algeria, and they also discussed prospects for strengthening these relations and elevating them, in accordance with the strategic vision approved by the leaders of the two countries, His Excellency the President of the Republic Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and His Excellency the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The two sides also addressed, within the framework of consultation and coordination, a number of current regional and international issues.
