President of Republic Performs Eid al-Fitr Prayer at Nouakchott Grand Mosque

On March 20, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic, performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Grand Mosque in the capital, Nouakchott.

The prayer was led by Imam Ahmedou Ould Lemrabott Ould Habib Rahman, who, in his sermon, explained the significance of Eid al-Fitr, a feast that Allah has commanded us to celebrate after days of fasting and prayer, in gratitude for His blessings. He described this day as an opportunity to gather together, visit one another, and exchange greetings and congratulations.

Upon his arrival at the Grand Mosque, His Excellency was welcomed and seen off by His Excellency the Prime Minister, the Minister of Islamic Affairs and Primary Education, the Imam of the Grand Mosque, the Wali of Nouakchott West, the Vice President of the Nouakchott Region, and the mayor of the Ksar municipality.
