President of Republic Extends Condolences to Sultan of Oman

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, sent a message of condolence on Friday to his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Sultan of Oman, following the passing of the late Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers.

On behalf of the Mauritanian people and on his own behalf, His Excellency the President of the Republic expressed his sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to His Majesty the Sultan, the noble Royal Family, and the government and people of the Sultanate of Oman.

The message reads as follows:

“Your Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq,
Sultan of Oman,

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of the late Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers.

In these sorrowful circumstances, I wish to extend to you—and through you to the noble Royal Family, the government, and the Omani people—on behalf of the Mauritanian people and on my own behalf, my sincere condolences and feelings of sympathy.

I pray to Allah the Almighty to grant the deceased His mercy, to welcome him into His Holy Paradise, and to grant you patience and comfort.
