President of Republic Holds Telephone Talks With Emirati Counterpart

On March 12, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, held telephone talks with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the brotherly State of the United Arab Emirates, during which they discussed developments in the situation in the region.

His Excellency expressed Mauritania’s strong condemnation of the attack on the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, reiterating Mauritania’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Gulf countries, and also stressed the importance of prioritizing diplomatic solutions to strengthen security and stability in the region.
