Economy Minister Leaves for Rome

The Minister of Economic Affairs and Development, Mr. Abdallahi Ould Souleymane Ould Cheikh Sidiya, left the capital, Nouakchott, last night for the Italian capital, Rome, to participate in the works of the 49th session of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

This year’s session is held under the central theme: “From Farm to Market: Investing with Young Entrepreneurs.” Through this session, the Fund seeks to empower approximately 1.3 billion young people globally, half of whom live in rural areas, and transform these areas into engines of growth and prosperity.
