Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Banc d’Arguin National Park.. The First Lady Calls for the Preservation of This National Environmental Heritage

Yesterday, Monday, from the coastal village of Arkis in the Chami District within Nouadhibou, the Blue March for Environmental Protection was launched. This was part of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Banc d’Arguin National Park, initiated by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, during his supervision of the 14th edition of the Heritage Cities Festival, held in Wadan from December 19 to 23, 2025.
During the events of this celebration, the First Lady, Dr. Mariam Fadel Dah, stated in a recorded message that the commemoration of this 50th anniversary underscores the importance of preserving biodiversity and ecological balance in this part of the ocean.
