Minister of Defence heads to Qatar to participate in the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) 2026

His Excellency the Minister of Defence, Pensioners’ Affaires and Son of Martyrs, Mr. Hanana Ould Sidi, left the capital Nouakchott on Sunday morning, heading to Qatar to participate in the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) 2026, in its ninth edition, which will be held from 19 to 22 January under the slogan: ‘A global platform for defence innovation: investing in opportunities to build a secure tomorrow.’

The DIMDEX 2026 exhibition and conference is one of the most prominent events in the global defence and security sector. The exhibition will also provide valuable commercial opportunities for exhibitors to showcase the latest innovations and advanced technological solutions in the fields of defence and security, as well as strengthening international partnerships and providing opportunities for high-level communication between companies and governments.

The event will also serve as a platform for in-depth dialogue on key defence and security issues affecting global stability today.
