Minister of Mines and Industry participates in an International Ministerial Session on the Future of Global Metal Supplies

The Minister of Minerals and Industry, ThiamTdjani, participated yesterday, Tuesday, in the sixth session of the Future Minerals Conference, held in the Saudi capital (Riyadh), under the title ‘The Role of Governments in Driving Mineral Supplies’.

The session, which included a select group of international decision-makers, focused on the pivotal role governments play in securing mineral supply chains to meet the growing global demand.

During his speech, the Minister of Mines and Industry reviewed Mauritania’s vision for developing the mining sector, emphasizing the importance of international partnerships in extracting and sustainably developing resources, as well as the role of our country as a promising investment destination in the field of minerals, given its natural wealth and strategic location, focusing on safety and adherence to treaties.

The Minister also addressed the need for coordination between governments to ensure the flow of supplies in support of the global energy transition.
