The President of the National Assembly Receives the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China

The President of the National Assembly, Mr. Mohamed Bemba Meguet, received, Tuesday, at his office in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Tang Zhongdong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China accredited to Mauritania.

This meeting comes within the framework of strengthening the excellent historical friendship relations between Mauritania and the People’s Republic of China.

The discussions addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, especially in the parliamentary field, in addition to a number of issues of mutual interest.

On this occasion, His Excellency the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China praised the significant progress achieved by Mauritania in various fields.

He expressed his satisfaction with the positive momentum witnessed in Mauritanian parliamentary diplomacy. He also highlighted high-level visits by Chinese delegations, stressing that these meetings have consistently yielded satisfactory results for the Chinese authorities.
