Mauritania Affirms Support for Efforts To Restore Stability in Yemen

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has reaffirmed its full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic efforts to contain recent developments in Yemen. Mauritania supports Saudi Arabia’s role in facilitating dialogue among regional and international stakeholders, aiming to achieve peaceful solutions through dialogue, respect for institutions, and prioritization of the supreme national interest.

In a statement released on 26 December, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad announced that Mauritania is following recent developments in Yemen with interest. The statement emphasized the need to restore stability and strengthen security in this brotherly country. It also underlined support for the Yemeni people’s aspirations for lasting peace and inclusive development.
