Launch of the Workshop for Ratifying the Ethical Codes for Judges, Judicial Officers, and Legal Professions

The Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Ould Soueydatt, presided over the launch of the workshop for ratifying the ethical codes for judges, judicial officers, and legal professions this morning, Thursday, in Nouakchott.
This three-day workshop aims to study and discuss the reform path of the judicial system, represented in the ethical codes for judges and legal professions, through three sub-workshops: the first is dedicated to ratifying the draft ethical code for judges, the second addresses the ethical code for judicial officers, and the third reviews the ethical codes for independent legal professions.
The opening ceremony of the workshop was attended by the Minister of Interior, Decentralization Promotion, and Local Development, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lemine, the President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Cheikh Ahmed Ould Sidi Ahmed, the Inspector General of the State, the Head of the National Authority for the Fight Against Corruption, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Justice, and a number of members of the judicial community, including lawyers and judicial assistants.
