President of Republic Lays Foundation Stone for Construction of Regional Hospital in Akjoujt

On 4 December, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic, oversaw the laying of the foundation stone for the regional hospital in the city of Akjooujt, which is the first of its kind in the region, as part of the celebrations marking the 65th anniversary of the national Independence Day.
This important project is part of the urgent program to ensure access to essential services for local development and is a health facility of category (H1) with a capacity of 80 beds.
This health facility, covering an area of 8,630 m², includes departments for emergency care, surgery, maternity and child care, laboratories, imaging, consultations, prevention, and vaccinations, as well as technical and logistical annexes.
This hospital has been designed according to international standards applied in the field of healthcare facilities, ensuring the provision of comprehensive medical care to the residents of the Inchiri region under the best conditions.
The total cost of this project amounts to 284,898,146 Ouguiyas, with completion scheduled within 24 months.
